A. John Blair, III, MD, F.A.C.S
A. John Blair, III, MD, F.A.C.S., has been the Chief Executive Officer of MedAllies since its inception in 2001. Dr. Blair is a health care and technology executive with broad experience across the health care industry including clinical practice, hospital planning and governance, revenue cycle management, managed care, public health and health care informatics. Prior to establishing MedAllies as a top healthcare interoperability networks provider company, Dr. Blair worked as a general surgeon for twenty years before becoming the President of the Taconic Independent Practice Association (TIPA), a network of over 5,000 physician members. Through Dr. Blair’s leadership, TIPA was at the national forefront of transforming health care delivery by implementing and ensuring the adoption of the meaningful use of health IT and pay-for-performance incentives throughout the TIPA practices. A recognized industry expert, Dr. Blair has served on various national government and industry boards, committees and workgroups.
Dr. Blair received his medical degree from Rush Medical School in Chicago, completed his surgical training at the University of Texas Medical Center in Dallas and performed his gastrointestinal fellowship at the Middlesex Hospital in London, England.
Holly Miller, MD, MBA, FHIMSS
Dr. Miller is an internist who has practiced medicine using several EHR systems and has well over two decades of healthcare IT experience.
Since 2009, Dr. Miller has been the Chief Medical Officer of MedAllies a company that operates multiple networks in support of interoperability. At MedAllies, Dr. Miller provides operational, tactical, and strategic collaborative leadership.
Dr. Miller is currently a Chair, Co-Chair, or member of many Health Information Technology (HIT) Interoperability related committees and workgroups engaged in enhancing healthcare value. These include committees within the following organizations: Carequality; Sequoia; DaVinci; CMS: PACIO; ONC: 360X; IHE; NCQA; HIMSS; Moving Forward and KLAS. She continues to be a frequent speaker at national conferences.
Dr. Miller was formerly a VP and the CMIO of University Hospitals and Health Systems (UH), a community-based system with more than 150 locations, seven wholly owned and four affiliated hospitals throughout Northern Ohio. Prior to joining UH, she worked as an HIT Managing Director for the Cleveland Clinic where she also maintained a clinical practice in General Internal Medicine. She has been active in healthcare informatics research and has been a co-investigator on multiple grants.
As a member of HIMSS since 1999, Dr. Miller is a past Vice Chair of the HIMSS Board and a past inaugural member of the HIMSS World-Wide Board. Her past roles within HIMSS also included being a physician leader of the HIMSS/AMDIS Physician Community and serving as the Board Liaison to HIMSS Europe for four years. She was also active in a variety of previous S&I ONC committees and other state and government HIT committees. Dr. Miller earned her MBA at Hautes Etudes Commerciale in Paris and her Doctor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.
Dianne Koval, MHSA, RHIA, CPEHR
Dianne Koval has been with MedAllies since its inception in 2001 and the company’s Chief Operating, Privacy, and Compliance Officer since 2015. She was appointed Corporate Compliance Officer in 2021. She is responsible for all customer-facing operations including professional services, legal, customer support, customer success, government programs, account management, and compliance for all lines of business. She also oversees several corporate programs including employee engagement and diversity/equity/inclusion. With Dianne’s collaborative leadership, MedAllies has grown from a regional to a nationally recognized healthcare technology organization.
Previously, Dianne was a director of health information management for several healthcare organizations and worked in professional consulting engagements. Dianne is involved in multiple national organizations and serves as a career mentor for the University of Pittsburgh health information management program. She is also a registered health information administrator (RHIA).
Dianne received her MS in health services administration from St. Joseph’s College and a BS in health information management from Ithaca College. She has published articles in the Journal of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA): Real-World RHIO: a Regional Health Information Organization Blazes a Trail in Upstate New York and Plugging in Physician Practices: Software Implementation Offers Insights on EHRs, Community Networking. Dianne was profiled in the University of Pittsburgh FACETs magazine for her work as a Clinical Preceptor for Health Information Management (HIM) students. She is also a regular contributor to compliance education through professional organizations (HCCA, SCCE). She has presented various compliance topics both in-person and for virtual conferences, as well as leading virtual lunch-and-learns.
Jeannine Castaldi
Jeannine Castaldi joined MedAllies in 2009 and is the company’s Chief Financial Officer since 2014. She is responsible for the development and execution of the overall financial strategy of the company in order to meet short-term and long-term business objectives. Prior to joining MedAllies, Jeannine held various positions in both accounting and finance at Pepsi Bottling Group and IBM. She had also worked as an auditor and earned her CPA license at KPMG.
Jeannine holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA in Finance, both from Marist College.
Gene Curtis
Gene Curtis joined the MedAllies team as Chief Technology Officer in 2021. Gene is a global technology executive with over 25 years’ experience leading product development and growing successful SaaS technology organizations. Gene has responsibility over technology, including product development, systems operations and enterprise architecture. Prior to MedAllies, Gene served as Vice President, Software Development at CSG International as well as Chief Architect / Vice President of Technology, at Tangoe, Inc.
Gene graduated magna cum laude from New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in technology and is certified as both a Scaled Agile Framework Program Consultant (SPC) and an ITIL practitioner.
Mark Dill
Mark Dill joined the MedAllies team as Chief Information Security Officer in 2023. Mark is an IT and security executive with over 30 years’ experience with a focus on strategic and tactical initiatives. Mark has responsibility for oversight and management of the MedAllies Security and Accreditation Programs, MedAllies Identity Management services, and recurring third-party security and compliance audits. Prior to MedAllies, Mark has served as Partner and Principal Consultant at tw-Security and Chief Information Security Officer at The Cleveland Clinic.
