Implementation
Information Technology (IT) Coordination
MedAllies works with your practice to coordinate and manage all aspects of IT related to successful Electronic Health Record installation and ongoing support. We have a list of endorsed IT vendors who have been thoroughly evaluated on their ability to support a fully digital physician practice. If you already have an IT support company or choose a company not on our list, we will help you determine if they are able to completely support your practice as you become paperless. We work with your IT vendor on equipment needs, placement, installation and ongoing support.
Practice Consultant
MedAllies practice consultants evaluate your front and back office administrative and business processes and provide recommendations to improve efficiencies, reduce cost, and enhance revenues as you progress to an electronic environment.
Local Implementation/Support
All MedAllies trainers have extensive experience in Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation and hold certification in the systems they deploy. Most important is that all MedAllies trainers, project managers, practice consultants, and workflow designers live in the Hudson Valley. Unlike most vendor installations, which are primarily remote training with little onsite instruction, we are heavily involved with your practice before, during, and long after implementation.
Clinical Workflow Redesign
Electronic Health Records can bring efficiencies and cost savings to physician practices when implemented well, but EHRs alone do not improve quality. Significant improvements occur after EHRs are implemented when decision support, registry management, and clinical process redesign occurs. Unlike other EHR vendor implementations, MedAllies offers a clinical process redesign team under the direction of our Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO). Our CMIO has over 15 years experience at a leading University where he oversaw EHR implementations and quality improvement activities.
Connectivity
Full Electronic Health Record benefits are not gained with just clinical documentation and digitizing the office. To receive full benefits from an EHR, the system must be connected to the healthcare community. Physicians need to be able to order labs from the EHR and receive those results seamlessly back into the application. Hospital results should flow into the system without requiring extensive scanning which drains personnel resources. Quality reporting for Pay-for-Quality projects should not be available only to large groups that can afford hundreds of thousands of dollars for custom systems. MedAllies implemented EHRs bring all these connections with the ongoing subscription at no additional cost.
