The Project Manager serves as a critical link between key individuals involved in a project to ensure timely completion. The PM oversees the process and methodology that is in place, identifies best practices to ensure a successful project, manages the pipeline of requirements, and acts as a liaison between the client and the vendor(s).
• Leads the project and keeps the implementation process on time and on schedule.
• Develops project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Manages all aspects of the EMR software implementation process, which includes coordinating projects with team members that include IT specialists, implementation/training specialists, third-party IT teams, and representatives from the clients’ site.
• Assesses the readiness of a practice, develops a comprehensive project plan, and assigns resources to each client’s implementation team.
• Manages day-to-day client interactions, sets and manages client expectations, developing lasting relationships with clients, communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
• Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a business or health-related field required.
• EMR or healthcare experience preferred.
• Minimum of 7 - 10 years experience in managing large diverse and complex projects and accounts.
• Proficient in Project Management Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through implementation.
• Must be a self starter with proven experience interacting with senior management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail.
• Analytical skills and creative problem solving.
• Excellent facilitation, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience reviewing training and communications plans as they relate to current projects.
• Effective conflict resolution skills.
• Hands-on and results oriented approach.
